    Shipping & Returns

    Returns Policy

    You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund for in-store purchases except the following items:  firearms, ammunition, gun powder, primers, electronic media, and clothing, and food are not returnable or refundable; all sales are final.

    Please return all products in their original packaging, unopened, and re-sellable condition. Products not returned in the original packing or showing use will not be refunded or exchanged.

    All special orders, refused/rejected/cancelled/buyers remorse/changed mind/web orders will have a minimum 30% restocking fee. Handling fees such as shipping expenses and loss of cash discount fees for use of credit cards will not be refunded.  Background check fees are non-refundable once entered into the FDLE (Florida Department of Law Enforcement) system.  Use of a credit/debit card or any other payment method for a special order constitutes agreement by the purchaser to these terms.  In the event of a charge-back, the purchaser agrees to pay all fees associated with the chargeback including but not limited to arbitration and litigation fees.

    For on-line orders, if you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We will notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.  You should expect to receive your refund within 4 weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

    For in-store purchases, your order must be returned to the store in person with a legible copy of your sales receipt.  If you paid by credit/debit card, the refund will be processed back to the card used for the original purchase.  If the return is in excess of 30 days, no receipt is presented, or the receipt is illegible, management may use the discretion process the refund as store credit only.

    General Firearm Sales 

    All firearms, magazines, receivers and restricted law enforcement items are sold and shipped in accordance with all existing federal, state and local laws and regulations. Many of the firearms, magazines and parts for sale on this website may be restricted or prohibited in your area. Please check your local and state regulations before ordering.  No refunds will be offered for orders placed for items restricted in your area.

    All new firearms are shipped in the original manufacturer's box, with magazine(s), accessories and applicable warranty. Firearms requiring warranty work must be returned to the manufacturer, not Tampa Tactical Supply, within 1 year of purchase for repair. Used firearms are sold AS IS with no warranty written or implied.  Accessories and special order items not normally sold by our store will not be covered under warranty even if these products are part of an integrated firearms package, unless we have guaranteed the entire package in writing. Please contact the original manufacturer for warranty information on all firearms, accessories and special order items.

    Layaway

    20% payment down of total merchandise including tax and other applicable fees.  This down-payment is is non-refundable.

    30 day limit from the date of first payment unless other arrangements are agreed upon in writing between purchaser and Tampa Tactical Supply management.

    Forfeiture of all deposits and merchandise after 60 days.  It is your responsibility to follow-up with us on your layaway.  Make no assumptions that we are able to get a hold of you via phone or email to remind you about your layaway.   

    Shipping

    We can ship to virtually any address within the United States. Note that there are state restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to all states.  We will not ship internationally or to freight forwarders under any circumstances.

    When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

    Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are size weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

    Abandoned Property

    Unclaimed property left at Tampa Tactical Supply, LLC greater than 60 days will be forfeited by the customer unless prior arrangements are made in writing between Tampa Tactical Supply, LLC Management and the owner of said property.  All deposited funds for abandoned property will be forfeited.  Reasonable attempts to contact the owner will be made via telephone calls and email.  It is your responsibility to ensure Tampa Tactical Supply, LLC has your current phone number and email address.

    Serialized Abandoned Property (Firearms, NFA items, electronics, software, etc. from our store or shipped in from other FFLs or private parties:  The storage fee is the greater of $50 or 10% of wholesale value per month from the date of receipt.  At the time of which storage fees are greater than the value of the abandoned property, Tampa Tactical Supply, LLC will confiscate such items and the owner will surrender all rights of ownership to Tampa Tactical Supply, LLC.  Storage fees must be paid in full before the owner can reclaim their property if fees do not exceed the value of the property.  In the event that such item is transferred to Tampa Tactical Supply, LLC from another licensed firearms dealer, and attempt will be made to contact that dealer to offer the dealer the ability to have the item returned to them if the selling dealer agrees to pay all associated transfer fees, shipping fees, and storage fees.

    Refund/Hold Policy for Pending or Denied Background Checks

    BACKGROUND CHECK DELAYS:  In the event that your purchase/transfer of a firearm is held up for a delay of your background check by FDLE, you must take a pro-active approach to rectifying the situation.  We have an information sheet that will provide information about who to contact and what to expect.  This will be sent to you via email.   It is your responsibility to make sure we have a correct email address on file, one you actually check, and you received the email from us.  It is also your responsibility to regularly follow up with FLDE regarding your background check.  You must provide written evidence that you are following up on a weekly basis with FDLE and/or your appropriate Congressman to assist with the resolution of your background check.  If evidence is not provided that you are doing your part to rectify the matter, the firearm will not be held for you and the policy for abandoned property applies.  This process could take weeks, months, or longer. 

    In-Store Purchase:

    Refunds 1-30 days for in-store purchase on pending background checks:  Full refund less background check fee, loss of cash discount fee, and merchandise already received by you if we restock the firearm.  The firearm will not be held for you if you receive a refund while the background check is pending.  You must provide written evidence that you are following up on a weekly basis with FDLE and/or your appropriate Congressman to assist with the resolution of your background check.  If evidence is not provided that you are doing your part to rectify the matter, the firearm will not be held for you.

    Refunds 31-60 days for in-store purchase on pending background checks:  20% restocking fee of the total purchase.  No refunds for background check fee, loss of cash discount fee, and merchandise already received by you.  The firearm will not be held for you if you receive a refund while the background check is pending. The policy for abandoned property applies. 

    Refunds 60+ days:  No refund for any deposit regardless of final disposition of background check.  If we continue to hold the firearm awaiting the final decision from FDLE, you must provide written evidence that you are following up on a weekly basis with FDLE and/or your appropriate Congressman to assist with the resolution of your background check.  If evidence is not provided that you are doing your part to rectify the matter, the firearm will not be held for you.  The policy for abandoned property applies.

    Transfer from another dealer or Non-FFL:

    The transfer fee (including background check fee) must be paid in full at the time of the background check.  No refund for any transfer regardless of final disposition of background check.  You must provide written evidence that you are following up on a weekly basis with FDLE and/or your appropriate Congressman to assist with the resolution of your background check.  If evidence is not provided that you are doing your part to rectify the matter, you must either make arrangements with the sender to provide a pre-paid call tag/shipping label or Abandoned Property Fees (listed above) will apply until the fees exceed the value of the held firearm.  At such time, the item will become the sole property of Tampa Tactical Supply, LLC.

    BACKGROUND CHECK DENIALS:  

    Refunds for Background Check Denials for Store Purchases:  You must request a refund, in person, within 10 days of the denial for a full refund less background check fee, loss of cash discount fee, and merchandise already received by you.  For refunds requested after 11-60 days, a 20% charge will be deducted from the total purchase.  After 60 days, all deposited funds will be forfeited by the purchaser to Tampa Tactical Supply, LLC.

    Refunds for Background Check Denials for Firearms Transferred From Other Dealers or Non-FFLs:  The transfer fee (including background check fee) must be paid in full at the time of the background check.  No refund for any transfer regardless of final disposition of background check. You must either make arrangements with the sender to provide a pre-paid call tag/shipping label to return the item(s), make arrangements with Tampa Tactical Supply to purchase the item(s), or Abandoned Property Fees (listed above) will apply until the fees exceed the value of the held firearm.  At such time, the item will become the sole property of Tampa Tactical Supply, LLC.

    BACKGROUND CHECK DENIAL APPEALS:    If you believe a NON-APPROVAL background check status was made in error, you must come in person to pick up an FDLE Appeal Form from us within 5-days of the denial as FDLE must receive the appeal form from you within 20 days of the date of the denial.  The appeal form must have your finger prints and your signature.  Tampa Tactical Supply, LLC cannot submit this form for you. You must provide Tampa Tactical Supply, LLC written evidence that you are following up on a weekly basis with FDLE and/or your appropriate Congressman to assist with the resolution of your background check.  If evidence is not provided that you are doing your part to rectify the matter, the policy above for refunds related Background Check Denials and abandoned property applies to you.

    The link to this policy is listed on your store receipt.  Refusal to get a receipt and/or failure to obtain a receipt does not negate your responsibilities listed in this policy.
